Delaware County Kehillah
What is Kehillah?
The Kehillah ("community" in Hebrew) is
an alliance of synagogues, community volunteers and representatives from
Jewish community organizations who work collaboratively to create an
inspired Jewish community. The Kehillah works on creating dynamic
programs, educational experiences, events and service opportunities to
insure that needs are met and the quality of Jewish life is enriched in
the community.
In Delaware County, four synagogues, affiliated with the Conservative, Reform and Reconstructionist movements, a Senior Care facility and Chabad, and in collaboration with the Kehillah of Delaware County, unite to form an extraordinary community - one of contemporary sophistication and historic tranquility - dedicated to providing a rich array of activities to support the spiritual and intellectual needs of the Jewish community and ensuring that Jewish life flourishes in this Philadelphia suburban county located just south and west of the city.
